- A friend of mine told me I had to listen because of what you had to say about legal churches etc, because we\'re both involved in one. I\'m looking forward to coming on the show and talking about that whole thing, what we\'redoing and whyy we\'re doing it. I was pretty opposed to the idea for quite a few years myself, and I\'m still strongly coven-and-Mystery religion focused in my personal spiritual practice. But I began to feel that my obligation as a Priest extended out to service to the broader Wicca-identified Pagans, not just to the Wiccan Initiates, and to helping build a place for Wiccan/Pagan culture - a place for the kids, for religious education, for celebration in a more general sense, and for legal handfastings, eventually for lands and meeting halls of our own. And for people to have access to clergy when they need them - when a fellow in the community had his wife die on him suddenly a couple of years ago, I was called upon to perform a fiuneral (which still stands s one of the most profoundly moving acts of spiritual service in my life) and I realized that talking about community, which we do a lot of, doesn\'t mean that people in trouble will have somewhere to go for spiritual assistance, while building organizations, public, legal ones, makes it more likely. So, at that point I called up a few friends and stopped dithering about it and Congregationalist Wiccan Association was incorporated - three years ago.
Anyhow, depends on what you wat to do and how you see your spiritual life - for me the service to the community is very important, always has been, and this is a good way to do that.
Blessed Be - Hi Sam,we arelooking forward to having you on the show in the near future. That\'s the thing about The Wigglian Way, everyone\'s opinion can be different. That is what we embrace...diversity. Just because I think something doesn\'t mean Mojo will agree, and vice versa. The same goes with our guests...YOUR opinion is the one that matters just as much as MY opinion. The Wigglian Way listeners come from a variety of backgrounds. We even have a Catholic Nun-to-be that is an avid listener and we love to have her share her time with us.
Thank you for listening and commenting. I know that when we have you as a guest there will be alot to talk about. Sparrow - Thanks for doing the shows! I love them.
Mojo you kinda sound like Bob McKenzie from that movie Strange Brew eh?
Also thanks for the info on the Zombies. I always seem to find them lurking outside my appt now I can defend myself!! LOL (JK)
But thanks to Sparrow, Mojo, and Sarah for doing a really great job on the show altogether.
- There is no better way to start a Saturday morning than sipping a coffee and listening to the soothing tones of Mojo invoking the wrath done upon the blown away skull chips of the Virginia shooter. It sort of shocked me. But I'm awake now.
And I understand. I watched this sick bugger's handmade film documentary. It angered me too. I felt the bitterness. Then I felt certain that this kid was damaged and profoundly.
So I came to this: we ought to be able to find the collective will to make guns way less easy to fondle for folks who are mentally ill. That would be something. Something would be better than nothing. But not sure that the death of this kid is "good news" Mojo.
The sound on the show is excellent today. Wonder if you did something to rebalance or equalize. Nice. Good energy Wigglian hosts and a great mix of news, views and music. Really like the tunes this time around. - Goodday Mojo and Sparrow: Interesting podcast. Really enjoy this program, the sound seems to be better. I have to agree with Mojo about the shooting. But I feel that there has to be even tighter gun controls. It amazes me how easy it seems to be for young people in the states to get their hands on guns. I know it is in their constution that they have the right to bare arms. But one of these days they will wake up and realize that when that was written guns were needed. But in this day and age, I feel guns should only be in the hands of the people who are in the position to protect us (Police officers, and our army) No one else needs them. Also I am wondering where the parent of this person, if more parents advocate for their children and got right in the face of the schools and made it clear that they are not going to stand with the bullying. I know I have done this and my husband. We have even move and changed schools to to protect our kids, and we are on a fixed income, if we can do this why not families who are better off. Well enough on this subject. I really enjoyed the musisc. Thanks about the informaition on Beltaine. Keep up the good work and look forward to your next podcast. Blesses Be Cindy
