Welcome to Episode 3 of the Wigglian Way! This show Sparrow and Mojo cover some great topics. The first segment is a review of the TLC show "My Unique Family" - the "Witches Next Door" episode that covers the life of a family of Wiccans in Duxbury, Massachussets. The second segment is on the upcoming full moon on March 3rd, and also moon lore brought to you by Sparrow. The last segment is a discussion on rituals. So sit back and enjoy your foray into the Wigglian Way... This show features music from Johnny Maudlin, his two songs: Shades of Blue and She Said (Live and Let Live). The second set of songs are by a great Pagan band Emerald Rose. The two songs played are Freya, Shakti and Castle of Arianrhod. ![]() Comments[13]

- Just want to say that I love your show. I've been spending the afternoon listening to The Wigglian Way in order. As soon as Witches Next Door was mentioned, I realized I never saw it and stopped WW3 to watch WND on YouTube. Though I did enjoy watching it, I do, more or less, agree with your views of the show.
- Moonepower (MOM!),
That\'s a funny story. First, Moje thought he accidently said you were a \"fluffy bunny\" from your comments, then when we were recording he said \"fluffy bummy\" by accident. Now, it has become a phrase for someone we really really like. Thanks for the pronunciation. Please do forward this to Thom and we will definitely ask him for an interview at some point, probably when I get my \"poop in a group\" and get the phone interview techie stuff.
Sparrow - Ok ... Johny's singing ... I won't swear to it but I think (harking back to your Uncle Thom, Sparrow) that Asatru is pronounced with the accent on the second syllable a-SAT-ru and a barely audible soft "s", not quite an "s" but also not a definite "z". I am going to forward your web-cast info to your Uncle ... it MAY be that he would not mind being a phone-in/on-line interview at some point in the future ... if you are interested.
- Cindy,
Thank you for listening. We try to have a little bit for everyone whether they are on a pagan path or wanting to learn about it. We have a few links on this blog that might interest you. The upcoming episode (ready tomorrow) is a special one and I think you will like it.
Edmonton has a great pagan community and I highly recommend the store WHERE FAERIES LIVE to connect with like minded people, or even to check out a few books. - I have just recently decided to learn about wicca and witchcraft. And was just suffering the web and found your site and have enjoyed listening to you two. You two are getting better at this podcast. I really enjoy listening to you two and enjoy the music. I am 46 year old and was raised catholic, turned from catholic to Pentecoastal christian, but have become disallusion with a belief that when things are going good we are suppose to praise and give thanks to God, but when things go bad it is suppose to be us or something evil that is causing it. Also it seems to not to be very excepting of other peoples views or beliefs and I can\'t stand be that way. I am looking to learn more about wicca, because my daughter and her friend said it might be more into what I would like to believe in. I am just surffing the net to try and learn more since I don\'t know where else to get information. Anyways this is getting very long so once again keep up the good work and thanks for the most interesting podcast. Mrs. Cindy Williams, Edmonton, AB.
- I really enjoy your podcasts! I just have one suggestion... Is it possible for you guys to use 160kbps mp3 or better? 192kbps would be PERFECT. If you guys can't then don't bother, it doesn't matter that much. (This only really matters to me when you guys play music)
- Great third episode! I really appreciate the podcasts, particularly since I'm in Japan teaching English (I'm American). I found you guys through deo's podcast, btw. It's great to feel attached to the pagan community, even on the other side of the world.
As for the difficulty you had taping the opening segment of this episode, and the "fluffy bummy," can't you just blame it on Mercury in retrograde? :o)
Thank you for the moon info, esp. for the information about the eclipse! I'm going to see if I can see it out here in Japan. - Yer both quite welcome. Gonna do another blog on the creative juices being squeezed on The Wigglian Way. I have to tell ya (and Mojo, I can fairly see you blush...): a guy could live many lifetimes and never hear \"fluffy bummy\". It brings one of those large cheese eating grins to a guy\'s mug.
It\'s damn musical, actually. Fluffy bummy. It\'s therapeutic. I swear to Pan. I dare anyone, listening, no matter what your emotional state, to say \"fluffy bummy\" outloud a few times and then see if yer mood is not lifted.
Good stuff. Listening and learning. Seems like healthy stuff, this paganism thing... - Just started to listen to WW3 and I\'m enjoying it. If there is one trick that perhaps applies to all our creative endeavours maybe it\'s to get so into the moment that we become sort of unselfconscious. Hard to do, whether writing or recording, in studio or in front of an audience.
I think you guys are developing a great rapport and I think it works very nicely. Again, it\'s as if we, the listeners, are privy to a private moment. So focus on one another, Mojo and Sparrow, and we\'ll get it.
Thanks for playing the songs. I want to publically acknowledge and credit my musical wife, Davy Maudlin, who has always been the sensitive ears and sound man for Maudlin projects. A gifted lyricist and in possession of a wonderful imagination, I would be maudlin only by half without his contributions. All I do, really, is hog the better headphones and microphone.
Also would like to thank Rory, of Orchid Highway, for his arrangement and recording and harmony singing on the version of Shades of Blue you played. The recognition is appreciated.
