    Hail Wigglians!!!

We're back home, safe and sound from DFest. What a trip! Great weather, great people, great festival. We hope that you had a great time while we were away.

Tonight all the talk is about DFest, as you might guess. We also experimented with a new feature "On the Road" where we recorded while driving out to Colorado. Sorry about the noise, but we were doing 130 kph...

Tonight we hear from The Crow Wimin "Born of the Elements Medley" and "Away ye Merry Lasses". We also hear some liturgy songs from Spiral Dance with "Witches' Rune" and Chalice and Blade doing "I Hear You Calling".

    Thanks for downloading......The Wigglian Way.

    • Hey Sparrow- in my research, I found that the term Warlock was a slang term used by the church for freelance witch hunters. This is mentioned in the handbook used to identify witches. Just thought I would add my two cents. :)

    • Very cool, Sylvanus! Thank you for your two cents. I think it\'s important not to go with just the \"accepted\" definitions for something but to study what else something could mean. You\'ve educated me today.
Still, although Mojo may go a\'huntin for witches (lady ones) in the woods it\'s for other reasons.

So nice to have you here, Sylvanus.

    • I attended Dfest with Sparrow, Mojo and Wendy and it was fantastic. We met so many great people, such as Sylvanus and the Serpents, the Crazy Pirates down by the water and of course the chirping of the Monkeys late at night, and sometimes early in the mornings.
Thanks for pod-casting our travels, it brings me back and lets me get excited about next years...

Looking forward to more wiggle on this subject!

    • Thank you all for your comments. Sylvanus, you are a Wigglian leader in your community (*wink*). Renee, we aim to please (you know that). Soon you will be a festival queen. Steve, while I agree with you, there are some fire circle\'s that are family friendly. Everyone should know which ones are which and act accordingly ie. if it\'s a family friendly fire-follow the rules. If it\'s not family friendly- don\'t have your kids there!!. Still, family friendly fires often change after 9pm. Take your children to bed or your own area. Plain and simple. Another hint that I believe I shared is...do not take your children to a festival before you\'ve enjoyed it. Then you know what to expect.
Thanks again Sylvanus, Renee (kiss kiss), and Steve for your comments. There WILL be more on Dragonfest...at least 3 shows.

    • Welcome home Wigglians. Glad to hear you were able to wiggle your way through the border and had an enjoyable road trip. I am sometimes stopped in my tracks by the toughness of old warlock (is that the right termonology?) Mojo. Rather stern you are, with the kiddies-at-the-fireside issue. But, you know, this is a great deal of the charm and appeal of your podcast: this unvarnished approach to truth (as you see it)telling. Wiggle on!

    • Hi Johnny,
Just have to clarify something. Mojo is in no way, shape, or form a warlock. That is actually a bad thing to be as it means "oath breaker". He is a Witch...just as I am.
We both have strong ideas about children at the fireside. I think it is important to attend an event before you ever bring your children so that you know if it is appropriate for them to be there. Also, you need to have a quiet space for them where they won't see what you might not want them to see. My son goes to festivals but he knows when I say it's quiet/bedtime that he needs to go. Depending on the age of the child the parent may also have to go. I see nothing wrong with bringing portable DVD's and game systems to festivals for the evening time so that he can still have fun time. Mind you, he is 13 and has only been going since he was ten. His cousins (and my Mom and sister)are usually there too so the kids are well occupied. The kids get to stay at the fireside until it is no longer appropriate. Sometimes it's late, sometimes it's early. In the end, parents have to be responsible for their own.

Thanks for listening Johnny, and hope to see you soon.

    • Hi Sparrow and Mojo - another wonderful podcast. I will be playing it for the rest of the serpents this sunday. We were all looking forward to it. I absolutely agree with your comments about children at festivals. I do not have children because I choose not to. At a festival I should not have to worry about someone else\'s kids. They chose to bring them so they should be inconvenienced, not me. (That has always been a hot topic for me so sorry if it seems harsh). I loved hearing about your experience at Dfest as you first came in. It brought me back as if I was there again. You mentioned how we seemed excited to see Mojo again and it was so true. We talk about him all of the time and cherish our time spent with him. (Of course we will now be awaiting the arrival of you too next time Sparrow as well as Wendy and Steven) Can\'t wait to hear about the rest of your experience..

    • Greetings Sparrow, Mojo & Sarah,

Once again, an excellent podcast! I really enjoyed the road segment because I've travelled that highway before so I could picture everything. Anyway, thank you for the travelogue and for sharing part I of your DragonFest experience. It means a lot to those of us who can't participate in gatherings (yet) but who don't want to miss all the fun - or the minor disasters...like the guitar accident. How awful! Finally, thank you for playing Chalice & Blade. All your hometown and Canadian fans appreciate the air play.

    • I really enjoyed your podcast. You talk about Deo's take on fire circle behavior. I agree with you. That is the place to release your inhibitions. If that's not your cup of teas then you can leave.
Really enjoyed hearing about your experiences at Dragon Fest.
